DESPATCH is our newsletter, the first edition appearing in September 1980. Since that time DESPATCH has reported on medical research findings and emerging issues of interest relating to the DES issue.
DESPATCH provides a fascinating history of our group - the meetings organised and attended, the talks given, the media coverage generated.
DESPATCH also reflects the dynamics of the group over time - the initial energy and enthusiasm of a new group; the difficulties in getting media coverage of the DES issue; the wall of silence from the medical profession and the health authorities; and the fact that our energies have waxed and waned over the years.
All issues of DESPATCH have been lodged with the Victorian State Library. Therefore the complete history of our group and our activities are on the public record, and can be accessed through the library's Serials section.
